I love nachos, but not theirs. Boring and they don't taste very good.

Pros: I had the Gyro and fries for the Wednesday special, which was a great special by the way. The lamb was prepared well. The fries were very good as well. However the added toppings (onions, tomatoes, and lettuce) over powered the sandwich. Cons: Lack of staffing which resulted to poor customer service got them this grade. We waited to get everything (drinks, to placing the order, and then receiving order itself). I asked for tzatziki and the waitress took almost 5 minutes to bring it out. But once again this problem stems back to management and them being understaffed during lunch hours. Doesn't really matter: The manger pronounced Gyro incorrectly haha. No biggie!

Great service at this location! Ask for peter! He's amazing! The rest of it is your typical ale house. Big, lots of TVs and bar food. If you haven't watched a game at an ale house is recommend checking it out!

We went on a day where the wings were on special for $5 and they were fantastic! They also had an awesome staff that was very accommodating. The beer choices were pretty decent also!

Meh. My friend kept telling me how bad the ale house was, so I figured I'd see if her nega-hype was right. Well, pretty close. I give 2 stars because the server was really nice, cute, and he smiled a lot. I love pleasant servers! Unfortunately do not have the same nice words about the zingers. They were not nice, they did not look cute, and they didn't smile...because they're chicken. They also didn't make me smile. They are super fried...so just be aware that you are basically consuming 500 calories with 5 zingers. Which 5 zingers is not enough for any normal person to feel satisfied, so you'll probably be ordering another portion for another 500 flavorless set of calories. And the chicken was pretty tasteless, even with the outside sauce coating. It tasted like rubber soaked in some flavor, after it had sat in a bucket full of dingy water for a bit. Really...not good. Again, the server was great, but unfortunately I cannot judge a Food place without assessing the state of its food: & ale house receives a rating of SAD.

Typical sports bar & grill. Food was good, service was above average waitress was attentive,. Atmosphere inside was more geared towards sports fans with plenty of TVs, since we had younger children in our party we ate outside (TVs out there too). The outside eating area is not very large and our party of 9 took up all the tables and space on one side.

Food was OK, but the waitress didn't think I existed. She served anyone else and pretended like I hadn't shown up. She almost didn't give me a check at the end. Can't say I would have felt too bad if she didn't. Pretty bad service. Otherwise, fine. Your normal Ale House.

Again, le sigh... I used to adore this place when I first moved to Orlando but in the past 4 years it has been so underwhelming. The ONLY thing crave are the zingers and last night I had a zinger salad and it was just not amazing. I had to add extra Honey Mustard and salt... yeah... weird. Also, the drinks were just so weak, not a fan! The service at this location was very nice though. They were slammed with Sunday night football but still took care of us adequately and with humor and smiles, always adds to up the experience. Like I said in other Ale House reviews... it's ok but wish it was still as awesome as I remember.

I haven't been to an Ale House in years and it was even better than I remember. The food was great and cheap. Huge beer selection. Very casual, with plenty of tvs, pool tables, etc. The oysters were surprisingly great too!

We went here around 9pm on a Saturday and managed to snag a table in the bar area. Wow, it was like drunken barn dance in there. Which I suppose if you are in the market for going somewhere, snagging a table and ordering pitchers of beer until you forget your own name, this is the place. They DO have many beers on tap, which is expected for an Ale House. However, at 9pm, they were out of many of the popular ones. Rogue Dead Guy Ale on tap, I will have to order you next time.....sigh. During the trip, we managed to eyeball a "mountain of nachos" being brought out to another table. A plate of those fed the 4 of us who were there very well. All in all, expect a very loud environment, expect sports plastered on the 8+ TVs around the place, and expect pretty decent prices on beer. The wait staff get huge props for dealing with some of the rowdier parties, they were really holding it together.

So I came here for lunch today, and wasn't really impressed. This is the Ale House that is next to Full Sail. I typically like going to the Ale House, but this is the first time to this location. The food was OK, but the waitress wasn't really that great. Oh well, I won't this one spoil the others for me!

  • Lindsay F.

The staff is pretty friendly here and most nights the service is quick enough, though some football nights they are bound to be slow. Decent food, tad bit on the higher side of pricing but still acceptable, and decent atmosphere. A great place to just hang out with friends for a giant platter of chicken nachos.

The Ossobuco was excellent!! I recommend this tasty dish! Cook to perfection! I just wish they would put the fried mushrooms back in the menu!!! I miss them! Service is good & fast!

Okay guys. This is an Ale House. The food isn't something to write home about, we know that, but they have beer and specials that draw us in. I've eaten at many Ale Houses, many times, and this will unfortunately be my last. Probably better I won't eat a literal pound of French Fries covered in cheese though. This evening, as part of a large group we went here after a meeting. I ordered the French Onion Soup, a usual for me. Halfway through my bowl, I noticed something in my soup that didn't look quite right. I pulled it out from under the cheese and lo and behold- a shrimp. A. Whole. Shrimp. Tail and all. In my French Onion Soup. I am beyond disgusted and have no idea how this could even happen. I normally go with my husband here who orders the soup and is allergic to seafood. Good the know they could have fumbled in the kitchen to the point to possibly kill someone. They voided my check and apologized, of course. But now I am dinnerless and lost my appetite.

Once again the Miller Ale House is good service and good drink specials. I had this time the pork and my son had the Ribeye. Cooked prefect with good favor. Always come back. This zingers have a new flavor out mango with spicy favor.

We came here because it was three and a half stars on Yelp and the other option was a Chili's around the corner which was two and a half stars. I ordered wings and a sweet potato fries basket for the table. I was disappointed when I ordered a hamburger meal with sweet potato fries and they would not let me have sweet potato fries with the hamburger because I had already ordered sweet potato fries for the table. I even volunteered to pay extra, but the answer was still no. I cannot understand this policy. I ended up ordering the Ossobuco meal instead. I was very disappointed. I really wanted a hamburger and SWEET POTATO FRIES. Maybe we should have gone to the 2.5 star Chili's. This policy does not exist there.

I ate here while on vacation in Florida. I really enjoyed it! First of all, the place has a nice look to it with all the wooden decor. It gives it a classy look, but not too fancy of a feel. There are many, many TV's that will surely please any sports fan. And the beer list is nice and adequate. I ordered a Longhammer IPA, which I had never had before and it was pretty good. I also ate this chipotle corn chowder soup and it was one of the best soups I ever had, just awesome. For my actual meal I got something off the lunch menu: the Golden Melt. It is pulled chicken on a hoagie bun, with BBQ sauce on top of it, cheese and onion straws. Pickles also come on it but I swapped it for bacon for 75 cents. Much better choice because everyone knows bacon is the real deal. The hoagie was really solid. The bread was great, didn't break at all and had good taste and texture. The onion straws added good taste without much grease, the chicken was thoroughly cooked and the sauce had a nice zip to it. I recommend it. It was a good lunch experience while in Orlando. They have good service, a good-sized menu, a vegetarian menu, a lunch menu, good beers, visual entertainment, good prices -- I liked it.

Vince the manager and AJ the server made our experience here amazing. I eat here alot but tonight everything stood out. Relaxed with good food and personable service. Thank you!

We came with a big group (15+ people) and they did their best to accommodate us. Kristen, our server, was so personable and friendly! One of my favorite servers ever. Thanks to Rachel also who was the hostess. We had a great time and the food all came it right, hot and quickly. We will definitely be back!

Food wasn't that great. Just ok. I personally feel the quality was the problem. It gets 3 stars based on the service and management. Our server Alyx was great always checking in to make sure we were good. I didn't like the fries so I asked her for a baked potato and out came a manager to deliver it. I wasn't upset or anything but the fact that a manager came out just to make sure is something I appreciated. I will be back for drinks and the great service. Seems like a great place to watch games and enjoy some time with friends. Food not so much...

Who doesn't love cheese fries covered in buffalo chicken fingers? This place has all of my husband's favorites--wings, cheese fries, nachos, chicken fingers, and huge huge portions. The service can be hit or miss, but the pub fare is always excellent. I will say though--last time I tried for a healthy grilled chicken salad option, and it was probably the worst salad I have ever ordered from a restaurant. Unseasoned chicken, tasteless dressing, watery lettuce--it was almost inedible. Lesson learned, splurge on the calories and hit the Zinger Mountain Melt instead.

We walk into this "sports bar" we expect them to be playing the Manchester United game and we got here 20 minutes ago and they still haven't put the game on for us. Waste of time. Server Scott dragged himself to the table and was clearly upset because we only came to get a pitcher. We asked him if they were going to put the game (20 minutes after we arrived) and he responded rudely "still working on jt THANK YOU". Never coming back. So much for a sports bar...

Ale House used to be a great vibe with an energized staff and good, reliable food. On average I was at the University location 4 to 5 times a month for lunch or dinner. However, now I am done going there. Twice over a 2 month period my meal was terrible, and regularly the service is slow - and even rude. And, the place needs a re-hab. It is old, dirty and "sticky". The Ale House has gone from a good ol' reliable restaurant to just another joint that has squeezed every penny out of its original concept and it has totally abandoned what made it a good place to begin with. After many years of Zingers, Blackened Grouper Sandwiches, Big Reds, and Captain Jacks, I am saying goodbye the The Ale House on University - and all other locations for good. Farewell. Too bad you strayed from your core concept and the freshness of your early years.

Always coming here with the hubby. Close to home and yummy food. His favorite is the zinger mountain melt with teriyaki sauce. I love the zinger salad with sweet Thai chili sauce as well as their calamari. Most entrees I've tried have been good. Can't complain. The captain jacks buried treasure is a MUST HAVE for desert. Delicious.

One of the better locations! Staff is always friendly and attendant and there is hardly ever a wait to be seated.

Response posted by management was apparently meant to make them look good to Yelp users but in contrary to their remarks, their gesture and apology were insincere. They did not respond to the requested email or follow up.

Ally and Andrew are awesome. The Zingers mountain melts are pretty tasty. I come here about once a week. The only issue I have is consistency. Not all of the service providers are on the ball like Ally and Andrew. This place has potential to be really awesome. They show all the sports but would be great if all of the waiters or waitresses provided great service.

Came here for my lunch break, ordered a steak medium rare and sent it back twice because it came well done both times. The manager was apologetic, but wanted to offer me soup instead??? That's Bullsh!t!!! How hard is it to cook a steak? I would NOT recommend eating here

Very average. Nothing to brag about. Went in tonight, and had the Asian chicken salad. We also had the chicken fajitas. The food was ok, and the server was kinda slow...average at best....

There is absolutely nothing special about Miller's Ale House, and I stress nothing. It is a typical bar with more than a healthy amount of televisions all going on at once. The servers are your average American woman who wears team jerseys but have no idea what is going on in any of the games that surround them all day. On the food side of things, it is one step above fast food. It is seemingly a clean restaurant, so I would not expect any cockroaches to pop out, but be warned the serving sizes are not meant for one human on a 2,000 calorie a day diet to consume in one sitting. On Sundays it has a mix of families looking for televisions so as not to have to pay attention to their children but will still give you god-aweful looks if you drop an f bomb. Sorry sweetheart, it is eight on a Sunday and I am drinking. **Gluten Free Menu, but absolutely nothing special, and nothing that you would have not already figured out on your own**

    (3)
  • Bry W.

The customer service here sucks. I used to come here to watch football every Sunday, after 2 sundays in a row of arriving early to get a table near a TV and then not getting my game on their cruddy TV's, I said forget it. Never going back, rude staff and the food is not great. I was going for the beer specials and the closeness to our house, plenty of better choices to go.

Ale house they are the best sports bar in Florida . No doubt. Food is excellent , price range is very affordable , 100s TVs with any game you want . So what else you need to have a fun night? Thumb up . ,)

I work within walking distance and frequently go to Miller's Ale House after work with co-workers. We've been in the place at least 2 or 3 times each month for the last year. At least 80% of the time we've had the same waiter in the bar area. The surprising thing is that the servers have exactly 0% personality. The guy who usually waits on us could totally get great tips just by acknowledging that he's seen us before "hey guys... great to see you back again". But we get nothing... just a glazed over expression... not rude, but not friendly either. The beer is not cheap and the food is nothing to write home about (except for the chicken nachos). So what gives? Do they have a guy in the back beating everybody with a whip who shows even an inkling of personality? I have to say the chicken nachos are an awesome accompaniment to beer. However, I ordered a turkey burger and it came out as a... dry, turkey burger patty on a dry bun. No mayo. No tomato. No lettuce. The menu says every burger comes with lettuce, tomato and mayo. I had to go get the waiter and ask him to get me the rest of it. Don't you think he would have noticed my naked burger when he picked it up at the kitchen? When I asked for it I got the same glazed over expression and a grunt. Note: Fosters on tap is always $2.75. Most of the other specialty beers are around $6 a hit. Can leave you with a HUGE bill if you're not careful.

I really had high expectations for this place. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to any of them. First of all they really need to get some good quality flat screen tv's. The tv's (in the dining area) look like what tv used to look like in the 90's (unclear with fuzzy colors). There was nothing LCD or HD about the tv's. There was a college football game going on but because the quality was so bad on the tv I literally thought it was showing a game that happened in the 80's or something. The food was okay. Just OKAY. I had the wings and they were not crispy at all. They were soft or soggy on the outside. I also had the blackened chicken quesadillas . It was plenty of chicken but not enough cheese. The rice and beans that came with it were delicious. The zinger tacos were great as well. The zingers are really a nice size and you are able to get chicken in each bite. The appetizers were nice in size. They were also piping hot once they reached the table. The waiter was friendly and very helpful. If you come to watch a game, go somewhere else please. Overall, this place didn't do anything for me. A place with this many tv's should at least be up to par with technology.

We had a great lunch today at Ale House. I had the sliders with the sweet potato fries and they were delicious. The Server was very nice and helpful. They also gave us our drink refills to go which I always appreciate because I work next-door. Great job Ale House.

My husband and I only came here to watch a baseball game. The beer selection is vast in Bud/Miller/Coors crap, but it's hard to find anything else acceptable for the craft beer snobs. We both ordered Rogue Dead Guy (and I can't remember the last time we ordered the same beer at any restaurant, ever). The Cobb Salad is good, but the rest of the food is just ok. Definitely overpriced. If you juts want a cheap Miller Lite and a bunch of sports and you live nearby, I guess this is what you're looking for. Don't go out of your way for this place.

When Bennigan's went down, I had to find a new location and this was it. Ah yes, Alehouse, my second home. Football games, basketball, all types of sports are shown here on big screens. UFC Saturday fight nights as well. Even for this upcoming Superbowl they have a $50 all you can eat and drink promo going on. My favorite day to go are Thursdays due to their prime rib special. Every day has a unique item. Otherwise if it's an off day, I prefer the garlic wings, rib-eye steaks and porterhouses. They provide a full liquor bar and a high variety of great beers tap. Service is expedient on the whole. The usual servers we get are prompt on checking up on us and getting fresh pitchers of beer, and that's what matters most!

    (4)
  • Alexia D.

A little overpriced for the quality of food. Service can be slow regardless of how busy the restaurant is. Captain Jack's Buried Treasure is awesome.

  • Chris R.

Had the "Zingers" here last night, they were not very good. Chewy. The breading was just a light dusting of flour, not very crunchy or tasty like the ones I had at Smokey Bones last week. They didn't bring enough buffalo sauce and I had to ask for more. I expected too much and was dissatisfied. Also my server was creepy like the butler in Mr. Deeds.

When my friends took me to this bar/restaurant my first thought was that we were going to have a mediocre dinner. Yet, I was proved wrong. The place was slammed, and I can see why. The prices were fair and in the Chilis/Applebees range, but the quality and menu options were fabulous. It's a local favorite here in Florida and started in the city of Jupiter in the late 80s. We sat at a bar high top and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere. There were quite a few TVs and pool tables for those who wanted more than just dinner. Plus our waitress was friendly and quick--two very important characteristics of a good server. As for the food, let me start by saying if you order the nachos, expect to feed The Brady Bunch. Even though there were 6 very hungry twenty-somethings, we barely dented the tray of Chicken Nachos that was set before us. By far the most amount of nachos I've ever seen for $9.95. They weren't fancy or complicated, but they were tasty. I also sampled the Mahi Fish Tacos which were excellent for a restaurant whose name is Ale House. Plus their dessert menu is stellar. I would recommend sharing Captain Jack's Ice Cream Cake. It's piece of Oreo ice cream cake, layered with heath bars and caramel that sits in bowl surrounded by hot fudge. Amazing!

This is the Ale House on University Dr. right next to Full Sail University. It has the normal Ale House menu that you can trust to sound more flavorful than the food actually is. However, they recently surprised me with a really great chef salad and even better sweet tea. They mix a strong drink here and their Sangria is pretty darn good but the service is slow, unorganized, and at lunch actually pretty rude. I don't think they have the To-go services worked out quite yet and won't receive a tip from me for it until they do. Next time you go in, get a bucket of beer, a chef salad and grab a pool cue because going to the Ale House for any other reason is kind of a mistake.

I've been going to this Ale House since the day it opened back on December 19, 1993! It remains the same great atmosphere and great people serving you. The food is excellent and the portions are huge! You always end up taking something home. It's a great value. Their cooks have been there forever so consistency rules! Their Chicken Nachos can feed 8-10 people, seriously! A pound of cheese, please! Yummy! The management staff take their jobs serious. If they pull an item off their menu, they are always more than willing to make it for you. Anything for the customer. Great job, Winter Park Ale House. Not to be confused with the not so great (in my opinion) Ale House in Waterford Lakes.

For me, Millers Ale House means two things...great burgers cooked exactly the way you want - Build your own Burger is the way to go and Fountain Pepsi products. Thumbs up for both!!!

  • Tom A.

This is just like any other Ale house around Florida with lots of people and TVs it's a good place to come and watch a football or just hangout with friends. The food is not to bad but definitely not the best and prices for beer are moderate but better then at other place. Over all i like to come here just for a few beers and to hang out nothing more.

As usually the Zingers were excellent! The onion rings were a bit overcooked.

Im not a big fan of this place . I get dragged here from time to time because of a football game usually . The food is terrible the service is worse and its over priced . It's way too loud and not really clean .

  • Justin I.

Great place to watch a game and hang out with friends. The food is not as good as it gets but they do have some really good apps. The wings are awesome and the pasta dinners are filling and tasty. The service is always really good, even when it's busy and they have every game on that you would want to watch. We went a couple of weeks ago to watch FSU vs Oklahoma. We had a good time even though the noles went down. All in all, the Miller's Ale House in Winter Park over on University is great and I highly recommend going there to watch sports.

Great place to get a beer after work. If you have seen one OAH you have see them all. This one tends to have alot of kids from Rollins there....but hey a beers a beer right? I order the wings which are pretty good...the nacho's tend to scare me...unless I am with a large group.

Ale House is a standard sports bar chain in Orlando meaning its a fantastic spot to grab a pitcher of beer and some buffalo wings while catching a game. I don't go as often as I might otherwise because though they've planted themselves into every suburb, us downtown residents have been overlooked. Their food is good, pretty typical bar fare, but they do have a wide variety of items to choose from, more like a TGI Fridays then just a bar. The jambalaya's nice and the skewers of orange and Thai flavored chicken are also tasty. I always go for the boneless chicken wings with the Mt. St. Helen sauce which is hotter than average but not too hot. This particular one isn't as big as say Altamonte's version with its own separate Florida room complete with large bar or Kirkman's version but it does have pool tables and the tradition of a square shaped bar in the center. Ale House has cheap doubles on vodka so if you're in the mood for this potent liquor mixed with cranberry juice this would be you're place. There are plenty of TVs scattered about and high tops and booths for watching the Gators beat whomever their opponent might be. Of course this is also a great happy hour spot and the multiple stools surrounding the bar get filled as people file in to grab a cold one. Ale House is an Orlando staple, and with all their locations I'm sure there's one by you.

I was visiting from out of town but I had a great time at this place. We went there to watch some football games, they had a tons of tv's all over the place, broadcasting 4 different football games. Ordered hot wings, sandwiches, portions were really good...I liked the vibe there a lot. But I also don't have many good sports bars near where I live so maybe that's why I thought it was great!

A brewpub focusing on seafood. It's really a playhouse for the not quite finished with community college young professional set here in Orlando. Ack.
